NAVAL MANEUVERS IS OUT TODAY!

Just a quicky this morning. THINGS WE DO FOR COMFORT.

A couple of personal things made me think of comfort and the things we do to cheer ourselves up. This works for our writing as well as on a personal level.  It is neat to get into the characters and think of their comforts too and what motivates the need for comfort. So, what is it that brings you comfort?  For me, it is the little things like chocolate, a nice coffee, and a chill in a comfy chair.  But there are other things too, a soak in a nice hot, candlelight, bath, listening to chill music.  Or maybe cuddling...

JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER.

One of our latest books is up for an award; it is entered into the All author Cover of the month.  At the time of writing this, it is ranked number 4.  Please if you get the chance vote for our cover.  We all judge things by their appearance, it is a natural thing to do.  Books are no exception. WRITING ABOUT LOVE IN UNUSUAL PLACES.

It is as cold as anything here, so I have been thinking about holidays in the sun.  I was wondering, who thinks making love on the beach is a good idea.  From the reading and writing point of view, it makes for a good scene.  I was kind of thinking about the movie From Here to Eternity and the famous love scene with Burt Lancaster & Deborah Kerr, in the surf.  It is the classic metaphor for making love in old movies, waves crashing on the shore.
