HOT DATES! IS LOVE BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND?

The BVS team has spent the last few months working on our social media profiles, so meeting new people is very much a hot topic going around the office at the moment.  I have been reading a script set in the 1960s and it looks at a young lady dating for the first time.  In the way that I do, I drew these two topics together.

From growing the profile it has been very exhilarating meeting such an influx of new people.  There was a feeling of, going to a new school for the first time.  There have been a lot of “getting to know you” chats, and a really great feeling of making friends.  I was chatting with our production assistant Amanda about this, and she said she has felt the same.  Though she did say that the process is slightly different for ladies.  I really wanted to know what she meant, though she was a bit reluctant to tell me at first.  She has told me that not all the guys online act like gentlemen.  She said if I mentioned this most of the ladies reading this would be able to relate.  Apparently, it is not uncommon for a guy to send pictures.  It made me think has the whole dating game gone this way too?  What have your experiences been?

Amanda is currently dating, and it has made me curious about the process.  Have you ever used a dating app?  Do you put yourself out there?  Maybe it is part of a personal affirmation or a temporary ego boost?  It could be that you deserve something a little less serious after a long search for the right person?   Has getting back out on dates felt like a good thing to do, or has it felt more like a meat market?  Has it ever felt anything like the scene from a romance novel?

On the lighter side, have you ever had any funny things happen on a date with someone you met online?  Or maybe found yourself in love at first sight, when you finally met with someone that you have only talked to online?  If you have been in a long-term relationship and find yourself single, what are the differences dating now?  Is it better? Or worse?  Does a little experience make it a little easier?

If you have any thoughts, views, and stories you might like to share, on the blogFacebook, or twitter, I would love to hear them.
