HOLY MATCHMAKER

Nancy Golinski

Emma Shultz didn’t fit in the modern world.  Raised a conservative Mennonite and dressing the part, she always stood out in mainstream America. But that all changed the day she moved to a farmhouse in rural Ohio.  There she meets the local Amish and soon has plenty of friends and social engagements to attend.  For the first time ever, she feels she belongs.

Then Emma falls in love with Amish man, Jakob Fisher.  Such a union is forbidden, as they are from different religions, and she is forced to watch from afar as he courts another girl.  Emma is left heartbroken and even begins to question her faith.  Things go from bad to worse, until the day God steps in to play holy matchmaker.

I really liked this book! It’s a world so far out of my reality, which I found to be a nice change. The sweetness and simplicity of the Amish lifestyle was very comforting. The author did a good job of pacing the plot to keep in line with that lifestyle. But the characters have the same hopes and dreams and downfalls as everyone else. Very sweet romance, I finished it in one night and will look forward to more Amish romances.

Hi Carly, the follow-up story is in the works I am told. Thank you so much for making the comment. would it be too much to ask for an amazon review, I know the author would be grateful too. We publish all kinds of romance. I often feel that the tender romances can be missed, thank you so much for your comment. Another you might like is Carol Schoenic’s, The Caretaker https://amzn.to/2PnM5S1
