I thought I’d like to share my Sunday with you. It was a bit wild clubbing on Saturday night, so I thought I’d have a lay-in and chill. I had bought myself one of those fancy coffee pod machines as a Christmas present. I love it! So I made a latte and went back to bed with my new iPad and read a new BVS script, it is fresh out of edits, and Ric said I could be the first to read it. It is by a relatively new author Callie Carmen and her book Patrick. I spent the day reading it, a great action suspense romance, storyline. I don’t want to give too much away, but I love the story. I have worked with Callie in the past; she is so easy to work with. And the cover art by Jessica is stunning. Going to be saying something about Jessicas covers on Wednesday. Anyway, Patrick is a great story, it had me gripped all the way through. We have not got a date for the release yet, but I will let you know as soon as I know.
So that is the way I usually start my Sundays, reading in bed with a coffee. I don’t normally bother with breakfast on a Sunday, but I normally have lunch. I was so busy reading, I didn’t have lunch until 2:30 in the afternoon. Was worth it though. I finish the book during the afternoon, I am a fast reader. For dinner, I had Chinese delivered. My fave at the moment is vegetable curry with special fried rice. I love to chill on a Sunday by myself. In the evening I like to catch an old movie. I picked “Princess Bride” with Paul Rudd and Mindy Kaling, haven’t seen it for ages and I love that film.
Do you cheer when there’s a scene like the one in Princess Bride where Inigo finally finds the man that killed his father in front of him as a young boy: Inigo says, “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” Count Rugen says, “No!” Inigo says, “Offer me money!” Count Rugen says, “Yes!” Inigo says, “Power, too. Promise me that!” Count Rugen says, “All that I have and more! Please!” Inigo says, “Offer me everything I ask for! Count Rugen says, “Anything you want.” Inigo says, “I want my father back, you son of a bitch.” Then Inigo kills him.
Have you ever had the experience of reading a romance story on a Sunday, that sets you bingeing on other romance novels or films? If so what was the title? I’m sure we’d all love to know. Or vegged out on romance movies? I told you mine now I’d love to hear what your favorite romance movies or novels are?
