HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN A SELFIE AND SO WISHED YOU HADN’T?

An alarming incident, just made me think about how much exposure we have on social networks. I am always guarded about personal images I put up in social media. These days I am cautious about the pictures I send to people. The incident happened a while back. An ex-boyfriend asked for a photo, and I thought what the heck, I sent him a pic. I was dressed in a swimsuit, and I could not be bothered to change, so I took a selfie. It was a bit of fun and thought no more of it. Just the other day a guy I didn’t know messaged me and sent me an image, it was my old pic. It was not particularly sexy, but it made me regret sending it to my boyfriend. In the grand scheme of things, it was nothing, but it reminded me of the time I was stalked. It is unfortunate how such a little thing, has made me feel nervous about personal security.

I was going to ask if anyone else had considered the subject of stalkers as a plotline, when I remembered our recent release, Patrick by Callie Carmen. Maybe you have written something with a stalker in the plot? Or perhaps had an experience like that, and used it in a story? What about anyone who had a selfie incident like mine? I hope you handled it better than I did.
