I AM PLANNING TO WRITE! HOW DO YOU GET YOURSELF IN THE MOOD TO WRITE?

I am feeling creative. I have been promoting for others all week, so I think it is time to do a bit of writing for me. I am planning on reworking a project I have been working on for some time, but before I start I have been thinking about the things that make me happy, things that get me in the mood to be creative, things that make me feel good about myself.

I saw a list of things, that says how to make a girl happy. When BVS did a promotion day for three of our authors, it was interesting to read the things that made our authors happy. One that came to mind was one saying, a man that does the washing up was a turn on.

Ok, the list I found, ten things that make a girl happy:

1, Tell her that she’s beautiful. 2, Hold her hand. 3, Leave her voice messages to wake up to. 4, Hug her from behind. 5, Write her notes, love letters. 6, Make her surprise calls just to say you love her. 7, Make her laugh. 8, Communicate and tell her everything. 9, Treat her the same when you are with your friends as when you are alone. 10, Look her in the eyes and give her your best smile.

All good and important things, I think little things are important. Sometimes you know you have found the one when you can be quiet together, and it doesn’t feel strange or awkward.

I would love to hear your thoughts on these ten things and would like to see your top ten. Or if you have any pre-writing rituals that you do to get in the mood to be creative.
