A TIME TO REMEMBER AND A TIME TO WRITE.

Veterans Day in the USA yesterday, I believe the commemorations will be today, as is our own Armistice commemoration today.  Every year in the UK we stop at 11 am on November 11th the time and date of the end of the First World War.  It seems fitting that this day is given as a day of remembrance for all those who gave their lives or were injured in the service of their country.

A time to write.  I co-wrote a non-fiction book on the First World War about 3 years ago At the going down of the sun and I have edited a great romance story set in the same war Behind The Clouds by Jan Selbourne.   There is a growing trend for military romance, I have seen a lot of military scripts as submissions.  It has made me reflect on one of our authors who we sadly lost at the start of the year, Leslie McKelvey.  She had served in the American military, putting a lot of her knowledge and experience into her stories.  She told me that her story Final Kill was her finest work to date.  We were stepping up the promotion when sadly we lost her.  Chatting with her husband Scott, we are both determined to keep her memory alive.  We have a special offer starting soon.  We have her Accidental Encounters Trilogy coming out in a Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer.

We also have a trilogy of US Navy stories due out very shortly.  I loved reading that collection of stories.  I will tell you more about that book, in future blogs.

I would be happy to hear your thoughts, reflections, and stories.  Or any views you might like to share on remembrance or the military.  Here, the blogFacebook or Twitter.
