Where were you when you first learned what 69 meant?
A friend and fellow romance author brought up a subject, it is something that doesn’t come up often yet it does happen, you find a friend in your company who hasn’t heard of a sexual term that everyone else is more than familiar with for example the almost obligatory soixante-neuf. This was a story she told me:
This happened at a New Year’s Eve party. Some of the men in the group had just made a smutty joke about 69. Since they all laughed, a lady at the edge of the group who looked confused and wanted to know what the joke was about. She turned to her husband and asked, “What is a 69.” A few of the others at the table overheard her question and chuckled. The lady became more insistent and asked, “What’s so funny. Come on tell me what 69 means.”
Her husband leaned in and whispered, “I’ll explain later, it’s not the kind of discussion you want to have in front of friends.”
When she got home hubby explained all about 69
Sometime later this same lady, not wanting her children to be embarrassed as she had been. One day decided to explain 69 to her three children. Her kids were in their late teens and early twenties at this time. The venue she chose for this discussion was a local restaurant. When the chat went quiet, she asked the kids if they knew what 69 meant. They all said No.
The lady proceeded to take two french fries off her plate and bent each of them in the middle. Then announced, “See this fry, at the top, is his head and at the bend are his private parts.” Then she did the same with the second french fry and said, “At the top is her head and at the bend are her private parts.” She then put the heads of the fries to the private parts of the other.” Announcing this is a 69.
The first of her children said, “Ohhh.”
The second said, “Gross.”
The third had nothing to say at all. She smiled, picked up the two fries and popped them in her mouth.
Have you ever encountered someone so innocent, that they were unaware of a fairly common sexual term was? Maybe it happened to you? I would love to hear your story’s thoughts, experience or any views you might like to share. On here, the blog, Facebook or Twitter
