Knight, it is the first in The Good Man series, called Only A Good Man Will Do. It is a great story; I loved it right away. It is a tender yet sexy story. Click here to read the Prologue and Chapter one. The free competition continues. To take part click here. There were a couple of thoughts that took me down this route of thinking for today’s blog. One was watching the Narnia movies, I loved the books, and when I am feeling a little below par, I love a good fantasy movie so I binge-watched the series. A brilliant concept of going...
HISTORICAL ACCURACY IN ROMANTIC FICTION?

In romantic fiction how important is historical accuracy? I do love historical fiction and enjoy the stories of L.J. Dare, A Bride for a King, Jan Selbourne, Perilous Love and C.L. Koch A Woman’s Secret. I also read more general historical fiction, like the works of Bernard Cornwell and Hilary Mantel, both of which base their work in well researched time periods. I am curious to hear your opinions as to how important it is to get the history right in romance stories? Is it good enough to have it loosely based, because it is the romance that interests you? Or is it annoying...
CAN AN IMAGE INSPIRE YOUR WORDS?

I am addicted to www.pinterest.com. Whenever I am short of ideas a quick trawl of Pinterest and I come up with all kinds of ideas. Maybe too many sometimes. WHAT THE CAR SAYS ABOUT YOUR STORY CHARACTER.
Following on, from yesterday’s blog on cars and if women find a nice auto a magnet of attraction to the driver. I had a couple of conversations with a writer friend who prompted this thought about the car your character drives and what that says about them. We use props for our characters and vehicles say a lot about the person that drives it. Automobiles they use in novels can be rather a cliche, but it can help build a character persona. A Harley shortcut for a strong gang leader, it conjures up the image of a bad boy or...
