There were a couple of thoughts that took me down this route of thinking for today’s blog. One was watching the Narnia movies, I loved the books, and when I am feeling a little below par, I love a good fantasy movie so I binge-watched the series. A brilliant concept of going through a wardrobe to a new world. A slightly different take on that was in the movie sliding door, the little changes that can alter the course of our lives. I probably would not have thought further, but for a friend sending me the image I used for this blog. I have always been fascinated by arches and doorways, especially when you can’t quite see what is on the other side. I love the mystery of it, love the possibilities of it in stories. Have you ever used the idea of a doorway in your stories? Or read a really good example, where doors have been used in your stories as part of the plot?
I would like to share a secret. It has always been a passion for me to walk through doors labeled staff, crew, or private. I am not entirely sure why, but I think it is something to do with being in the know, to be accepted into the gang. I wonder if anyone else has this kind of feeling?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments here on the blog, the BVS Facebook page, or my Facebook page. We have a twitter page too, and we are always happy to follow people that follow us.
