HAS THERE BEEN A MOVIE THAT HAS INSPIRED YOU TO WRITE A STORY?

Has there been a movie that has inspired you to write a story or maybe a series of stories? Or have you ever dreamt of your stories being made into films? Who would play your characters? Who would you want to direct the movie?

I was watching movies over the weekend. I like Sci-fi, I watch a lot of Sci-fi. For the life of me, I have never been able to write anything to do with science fiction. I suppose I am just a bit of a hopeless romantic, and I find that romance and erotic romance are subjects that I feel comfortable writing about. I have tried after reading BVS stories from Heather Walker, The Otherling. I also read the supernatural anthology The Crimson Z, I enjoyed the stories a lot but I don’t think it is my genre to write. Who knows maybe I will give it another go.

This begs the question, has watched a particular movie ever inspired you to change your genre? Or explore new genres? If so what was it?
