WHAT DO YOU DO TO CHEER YOURSELF UP? – Black Velvet Seductions

It is hump day, halfway through the week. Yay. I have had a great start to the week, but I must confess I am looking forward to the weekend. I am looking forward to meeting up with friends and getting out in the sunshine. I had some bad news from a friend last night and had to cheer him up a bit, which prompted this blog. What do you do to cheer yourself up? I suggested to my friend a hot bath and a good book. But what would you do? Hot chocolate and a movie? Go out to see friends?

I always take the time to be on my own to think; I have a gratitude journal. I have taken to writing all the things I am grateful for in that journal, as I think it is better to concentrate on all the good bits rather than any negative bits. I always think it helps.

So what brightens your life on a dark day? Do you take solace in a book? Do you write? Or do something else creative?
