Naval Maneuvers by Dee S. Knight is out now.  The book contains three interconnected stories. The content is a bit raunchy, but I think you’ll like it.  It is an outstanding story, sweet where it needs to be tender and makes you tingle when it needs to be hot! THINGS WE DO FOR COMFORT.

A couple of personal things made me think of comfort and the things we do to cheer ourselves up. This works for our writing as well as on a personal level.  It is neat to get into the characters and think of their comforts too and what motivates the need for comfort. So, what is it that brings you comfort?  For me, it is the little things like chocolate, a nice coffee, and a chill in a comfy chair.  But there are other things too, a soak in a nice hot, candlelight, bath, listening to chill music.  Or maybe cuddling...

JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER.

It is as cold as anything here, so I have been thinking about holidays in the sun.  I was wondering, who thinks making love on the beach is a good idea.  From the reading and writing point of view, it makes for a good scene.  I was kind of thinking about the movie From Here to Eternity and the famous love scene with Burt Lancaster & Deborah Kerr, in the surf.  It is the classic metaphor for making love in old movies, waves crashing on the shore.
