What a wonderful time to celebrate our mothers. A time to think about all they have done for us and meant to us. Take a moment to consider, the kindness they have shown, the generosity of time. For me, it is all those little things, that have built up over time that matter. I remember how it felt as a child, coming home from school. Taking a piece of paper from my school bag and showing my mum my piece of crinkled artwork. Seeing the pride in her eyes as she stuck it on the refrigerator door. Every time I see, or pet a cat I think of my mum, she loves all creatures but especially cats.
What do you think of when you think of your mother? What plans have you got for today? Are you going to visit? A celebratory meal? Or if maybe your mother is no longer here. Will you spend some quiet time remembering? How will you mark this, oh so a special day?
