THE AGONY OF CHOICE. – Black Velvet Seductions

It is a plot device I have seen used a lot where the hero or heroine has a profound choice to make. “Sliding Doors”, was a movie that had the life-changing decision of the heroine making it onto a subway train, two scenarios take place. In one, she gets on the train and comes home to find her boyfriend, in bed with another woman. In the second, she misses the train and arrives after the woman has left. In the first scenario, Helen dumps the boyfriend, finds a new man and gradually her life improves. In the second, she becomes suspicious of the boyfriend’s fidelity and her life grows more miserable. Another movie, the sci-fi epic “The Matrix”, there is a choice of the red pill or the blue. The pic I used for this blog inspired me to write this the idea of choices. Which door would you or your character choose? Which door will be the right decision? One is the portal that takes you into a new life and will bring you happiness and fulfillment. The other will turn your world upside down.
