This was a question that came up as a response to a message. Are bald men sexy? And is it a detail you would include in your writing? My thoughts are, bald can be sexy under circumstances. I have never written about it. I picture the heroes to my books with a full head of hair, and yet I do see some bald actors as quite sexy, and I am not sure why. Patric Stewart, maybe he appeals to my nerdy side? As captain of the Enterprise in Star Trek. Even though he is old enough to be my grandfather, you still see him with girlfriends in their 30’s. So I am not alone in thinking there is an attraction. Could it be his money? I don’t think so. Another Actor I think is hot is Jason Statham, he always plays the hard man in films. And, well, a fantasy with him, I’ll let you join the dots.
So, for your written heroes, hair or no hair? And does hair really matter for men in your stories? What about in your fantasies? Would a bald man ever come and visit you in your dreams?
What about in everyday life, over time we all change and grow. Sometimes in more ways than one. When it comes to sex appeal, do you find that your special someone loses some of their sex appeal, as they begin to bald a bit, or perhaps get a tummy on them? Do we turn a blind eye? Because we still find them sexy regardless, because it is so much more than looks that turned us on in the first place?
