ARE BALD MEN SEXY?

This was a question that came up as a response to a message.  Are bald men sexy? And is it a detail you would include in your writing?  My thoughts are, bald can be sexy under circumstances. I have never written about it. I picture the heroes to my books with a full head of hair, and yet I do see some bald actors as quite sexy, and I am not sure why.  Patric Stewart, maybe he appeals to my nerdy side? As captain of the Enterprise in Star Trek.  Even though he is old enough to be my grandfather,...

ARE YOU ONLY AS OLD AS YOU FEEL?

It was a heavy weekend.  I felt a little slow Sunday after the St. Patrick’s night, on Saturday.  But I was still, kind of, buzzing with it.  This morning feels a lot slower.  Either way, it is Monday and time to get my bum in gear, with that thought, are you only as old as you feel?  I  feel no different now than I did ten years ago.  That is until I hang out with a younger crowd. They seem to be running at a higher speed.  I mentioned it to Ric, and he said, “Wait till you are in...

THE MORNING AFTER ST. PATRICK’S NIGHT.

Love, love, love St. Patrick’s night.  I went down to the big bad city last night, with some friends to celebrate at a club.  There is more buzz in a city club. What is it about St. Patrick’s night that makes you let it all go? Is it the Keltic spirit? You just can’t help getting into party mode.  We danced all night and drank a little bit too much.  Lol. We were all pretty wasted.  Good job we got a taxi!  They wanted me to drink Guinness, but just can’t. Black or green, it is just not my thing!...

AUTHOR INTERVIEW JAN SELBOURNE

It was lovely to chat with Author Jan Selbourne.  I love her new book, Perilous Love.  The e-book is now available for pre-order at a sale price of $2.99, until the release date 29th March. Click here to read the Prologue and Chapter one. I started by asking her a bit about her background, where she writes and what is a home like? I grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and thank my parents and my teachers for my love of reading. After school, I attended a Melbourne Business college and worked for some wonderful companies in the UK and Australia.  I have two fantastic...

WHAT IS THE NAUGHTIEST THING YOU HAVE EVER BOUGHT?

Chatting in the office today, this topic came up. Have you ever bought something that you hid from your partner, either because of what it was? Or how much it cost to buy?  I am a tech geek and love my toys, iPhone, all kinds of gadgets.  I am pleased I don’t answer to anyone over my stuff. After chatting, I see I am lucky. So what have you bought secretly? Shoes? Jewelry? Something personal, sex toy maybe?  Were you ever caught? What were the consequences?  Have you ever written about this as a plotline?  I know Ric did, in...

DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST KISS? YOUR FIRST DATE?

I’m charged, feeling in a fun mood, especially after the comments I got from Monday’s flirty blog.  I saw a post on  FB and I got to thinking. Do you remember your first kiss, first date, first romance book you read? What about your first O. Are they memories you cherish, or just big disappointments? Life is full of firsts.  Some firsts can be scary, exciting or even hot to try. Any other firsts you would like to share? I guess I can’t ask you to share without me putting a couple down.  Lol. My first kiss was with a...

JUST READ A GREAT BOOK AND WANTED TO TELL YOU ABOUT IT.

Wanted to share.  I finished a book on Monday night.  Ric likes us to read the new books, as well as the new submissions.  I also read other romance books from other publishers; I think it gives me a more balanced view of where the market is and where BVS is heading.  I do like to read our books because they are great reads, but I need to know what I am talking about. This book came out for pre-release sale Monday, Perilous Love by Jan Selbourne.  It will be at a promotional price of $2.99, until the release date 29th March. I loved reading...

IF ONLY SUMMER WAS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.

I am in the mood for a bit of summer romance.  We had a few days of warmer weather, and that got my hopes up.  Then the cold weather is back with us, and we are all bundled up in warm clothes.  Then when I thought it was just about over.  It snowed again. I don’t know about you. But I think it is much harder to meet someone new in the winter months. We all seem to be rushing in an out of places trying to avoid the cold. We have a massive amount of clothing on, which to...

MOM, I’VE CHERISHED EVERY MOMENT SPENT WITH YOU.

MOM, I’VE CHERISHED EVERY MOMENT SPENT WITH YOU. MARCH 11, 2018 I am in a reflective mood; it is Mother’s day here in the UK.  I have been considering how we use our own emotions in our writing.  I was chatting to Ric the other day, and he was telling me about his first published story.  He said the final edits were written in the shadow of his father’s death, and that he drew on his emotional responses and energy to finish the book.  I have read it.  It is a deeply emotional story, it made me cry. I wonder...

OUR LATEST BOOK IS ON THE BOOKSHELF!

Naval Maneuvers by Dee S. Knight is out now.  The book contains three interconnected stories. The content is a bit raunchy, but I think you’ll like it.  It is an outstanding story, sweet where it needs to be tender and makes you tingle when it needs to be hot! It rocks, to be the first one at BVS to read the script, and then suggest the story to Ric.  I just knew it would be a great story for the company.  One of the coolest things about Ric is he listens to everyone.  When he said yes, and that he loved the...
