Desiree Mendelsohn lives life to its fullest. Her business is a cover to run arms for the Resistance. When she meets Colonel Hans Faber, she is drawn into a relationship with him. He too is drawn despite the fact that he has been sent to seduce her for information. Desiree and Hans run a gauntlet of turmoil and trouble, leading up to a climactic confrontation that may prove to Desiree’s undoing.
