I’m a couple of days behind in posting books to the list of books you can win. Yesterday was a heck of a long day. I crashed early…before I got the book posted for the day…so here it is.
The blurb for this one made me smile…and pull out my wallet.
The cover is lovely too. It has a picture of an old wagon wheel with flowers vining over it. Lovely.
Here’s the inside the cover blurb for The Last Man Standing by Susan Kay Law:
An unusual proposal
All Lucas Garrett longed for was a good night’s sleep. But as the last able-bodied, hot-blooded man left in a town full of lonely women, he hadn’t had a moment’s peace since the Gold Rush had lured all the eligible bachelors westward. Now he’s just plain exhausted. So he turns to the only person he can trust — pretty, proper Priscilla Wentworth. If she would agree to pose as his future bride, then the fluttering flock of amorous ladies would finally leave him alone.
A temporary engagement
Priscilla agrees to pretend to be Lucas’s fiancee in exchange for one thing only: he must help her find a husband of her own. Of course, Lucas is completely unsuitable–he’s too handsome, too charming. But then he takes her in his arms, tantalizing her with unforgettable kisses…and so much more. And suddenly Priscilla is wondering if the last man in town is really the only man for her.

NEVER HEARD OF SUSAN BUT WOULD LOVE TO TRY HERS
This sounds really good!
Historical Western Romance is my favorite genre. Susan Kay Law is a truly gifted storyteller : )
This is a new-to-me author. I think I’ll be checking out her stuff more closely.
I’ve never read anything by Susan. Does she only write westerns?
Love the blurb. The second half really pulls you in.
