Wind’s Aria Cover Blurb
by Tessa Stockton
Aria falls into the hands of the dreaded angel who seems to have stolen more than her voice . . .
An Excerpt From Wind’s Aria
He pushed further back into the shadows as she strode closer. “Someone you need not know.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
When he didn’t answer, she sighed.
“What a strange, terrible day,” she mumbled. “Well, at least tell me your name . . .”
He stood, speechless, knowing he shouldn’t be there at all—conversing with a Meleyan—especially not their musical deliverer that he was set to doom the day after tomorrow.
A peculiar grumbling interrupted her insistence, to his relief.
“Sorry.” She patted her stomach. He could see, even in the blackened night, how her face turned a deeper shade of red than her hair. “I’ve forgotten to eat. I guess I’m hungrier than I realized.”
He plucked an apple from the tree he’d nearly become a part of and held it out to her. The girl approached tentatively. She reached for the fruit but recoiled when her fingers brushed his.
“Is touching me so horrible?” he asked.
Her jaw dropped open and her delicate brow furrowed. She inclined her head. “It . . . hurt.”
“How?” he asked, for her fingers felt good to him, soothing. Warm. He wanted to try again.
“I don’t know how to explain . . .”
“Hum.” Unsatisfied with the answer, he tossed the apple to her and watched as she crunched her teeth into it.

Sounds like an intriguing story.
HI TESSA! LOVED THE EXCERPT AND COVER BUT NOW WANT TO READ IT ALL!! LOL
Then, read, girl, read!!! ; )
Not only am I discovering Tessa’s books on this blog tour, but I’m enjoying clicking through the older posts and finding more great reads!
I like the fact that the angel’s touch hurts her but her touch feels comforting to him. That’s kind of a unique turn. One would normally think of an angel as protective…loving…warm…and their touch as warm, comforting, loving, soothing.
What inspired you to have his touch be painful?
Thanks, Laurie.
He is like a fallen angel who doesn’t know what good is, but would like to… You see, she is the the reflection of what he is not.
Ahhh….a great twist Tessa.
I enjoyed the interview.
Thanks, Wilma.
Laurie, THANK YOU, for this guest spot on Black Velvet Seductions during my Goddess Fish book tour. It’s much appreciated!
By the way, love that dapple grey horse in the wintry cover photo. Reminds me of a dream I had recently… Hum. The muse is speaking.
You’re welcome Tessa. It’s my pleasure to have you here today. I’m glad you could stop by and chat with us a little bit.
I’ve always loved horses in general…and there is something about a horse pulling a sleigh…brings back childhood memories which I’ve written about before here on the blog. Dapple gray horses are a favorite horse color. It’ll be interesting to hear what comes from the dream and the muse. Is there anything you can share with us about what direction your muse is taking things?
Well, I grew up with horses. Have always been fond of horses with color. I miss them. Truth be told, I’d like to have horses again. Anyway, the reminder/dream of the dapple gray entertains, perhaps, a shapeshifter paranormal romance. I have yet to finish a paranormal and would like to get on something like that and see where it takes me. : )
I’m going to subscribe to your blog. I look forward to reading more of your posts!
Would love to have you reading the blog Tessa…and of course coming back to visit us when you have another release…or even more to tell us about this one or a previous one.
I grew up with horses too. I had my first pony at 15 months old. Was buying unbroke ponies at the sale and bringing them home and breaking them, then reselling them when I was about 4. I’ve not owned horses in many years though…and like you, miss it. Would love to have horses again too.
You have a gift. I hope you have horses, again, someday. They need you!
I agree, Mary. Angels are rather special. ; )
There is always something rather special about Angels.
