Please welcome Cara Bristol back to the blog. The title of this blog post pretty much sums it up…so I’ll give the floor to Cara at this point and let her explain why she started a spanking fiction discussion group on Facebook.

CB_UnexpectedConsequences_coverlgThe blogosphere has gazillions of sites promoting spanking from Christian Domestic Discipline to porn and everything in between. Search for spanking fiction books on Amazon and you’ll get a full list of novels, novellas and short stories involving domestic discipline, spanking romances, spanking cowboys, spanking Amish, paranormals, historicals, contemporary novels, etc.

But compared to say, BDSM or paranormal fiction, spanking as literature remains a hidden niche.

There’s only one book review site – Bottom’s Up Book Reviews – that focuses on spanking fiction, and until recently, there was no place where readers and authors could go to discuss their favorite spanking books and topics.

That’s why I started the Spanking Fiction group on Facebook so that readers and authors could come to together to discuss one of their favorite topics among friends. The description of the group is simple: “Spanking Fiction is a discussion forum for readers and authors of spanking fiction in all its varieties: M/F, F/M, F/F and M/M. Although this group is for adults only, no x-rated material is allowed.”

I put readers first to emphasize that Spanking Fiction is not an author promo group.  Readers will hear of new spanking books, but the primary purpose is discussion. I want readers to feel safe (and I don’t want to get the group kicked off Facebook), so no X-rated material is allowed.

Recent discussion topics have included: Sheldon spanking Amy on the Big Bang Theory, spank words that turn you on, dreaming about spanking, celebrities who deserve to be spanked, and of course, lots of discussions about books.

The group has only been around for a few weeks now and already has more than seventy-five members. And an early member has since formed a competing spanking fiction group. But Spanking Fiction is the original!

Membership is open to anyone on Facebook who is interested in spanking fiction. Come check it out.
