Sarah McCarty is one of the writers on my auto buy list. I’ve particularly enjoyed her erotic western historical romances … the Promises Series and her newer series The Hell’s Eight Series. Sam’s Creed is one of my favorite books within The Hell’s Eight Series and is one of my favorite Sarah McCarty books. Since I’ve finished reading it (sometime back actually) I thought I would put it up for grabs here.

If you like western historical with a kick of spice this will likely be your kind of book.

Here’s the blurb:

Every Texan woman knows the men of Hell’s Eight offer wild, no-strings-attached pleasure. Well, almost every woman…

Known for making up his own rules of right and wrong, Texas Ranger Sam “wildcard” MacGregor takes what he wants when he wants it, especially when it comes to women. But seduction is the last thing on his mind when he stumbles across a beauty crouching in fear beside a burned-out wagon.

Isabella may look feminine and unassuming, but she’s hell in a bodice with gunslinging skills to match any man’s. The woman the townsfolk call “cursed” is hiding secrets too dangerous to face alone. Luckily, she sees in Sam what he can barely glimpse in himself–a virtuous man in a hard country bent on breaking him. A man who, under it all, craves a passionate woman willing to risk everything…

Western historical is one of my favorite sub-genres. It’s the historical period (other than contemporary) I am most likely to read. Sarah writes it very well. She does a great job of transporting you to that time and place.

  • Laura B. says:

I’ve heard of, but never read Sarah McCarty. I love cowboys, romance & erotic storys, so I figure “why not” add my 2 cents to the book world. Love reading & keeping up with new authors and their books. Smiles, Laura

Well, if you love cowboys, romance & erotic stories you really should read Sarah McCarty. :-) I’m guessing she’s an author that you will really enjoy. She writes some paranormal too if you like paranormal. Her paranormal series pairs paranormal with western historical in kind of a fun and unique way.

    • Laurie Sanders says:

There’s at least one on the list that’s up for grabs. There might be a couple…I don’t remember anyone claiming Jared, which is from her paranormal series. :-)

      Good luck!

    • Laurie Sanders says:

That pretty much sums up most of Sarah’s books. The earlier ones (Promises Series from Ellora’s Cave) were more erotic. Sam’s Creed and Cain’s Revenge is pretty erotic but some of the later ones in the Hell’s Eight series have been less so.

Hope you get a chance to win one of the books from Sarah…or another book of your choosing. There are a few up for grabs and I’ll be adding more in between guest authors. :)
