Savvy Authors (http://www.savvyauthors.com) is one of the best sites on the internet for authors. In my humble opinion it ranks right up there with RWA — and perhaps it is an even better resource because so much of the information there is available right on the site. RWA has fabulous information too, but much of it is scattered on chapter websites and such. There isn’t the fountain of combined knowledge in one place that there is at Savvy Authors. Savvy Authors is generally less expensive than RWA too. Membership at Savvy Authors is about $30 a year, and there are no chapter dues on top of it. Of course, Savvy Authors is all online. There are not face to face chapter meetings as there are with RWA.
But, if you are looking to hone your writing skills Savvy Authors is a great place to do it. Right now they are offering three chances to win a Savvy University scholarship. Check out the scholoarships available at the links below.
