For those who have claimed prizes from last week and who have not received them yet, please bear with me a bit longer. Black Velvet Seductions has experienced intermittent difficulty with our email service provider for several months. After each call to technical service to straighten out the issue we would again think that the service would work reliably as it had always seemed to do. After yet another incident that ocurred about a week and a half ago I made the decision to change email service providers. That change was more involved than I’d hoped it would have been as there were technical issues which caused mail to be routed sometimes through the old (problematic email service) and sometimes to the new one. A lot of time was spent with the new company’s technical service folk trouble shooting the problem, which ended up being a problematic setting in the MX registry. The email is now all going through the new service and appears to be working fine. The old service has been cancelled. Unfortunately a huge amount of spam and other mail accumulated while I was working on the technical issues. I will need to go through the email in order to find all the claims for prizes. If you have not received your prizes by December 4, please email me again. It is possible that your claim form was lost in the email debacle. I always respond to the emails claiming prizes, even when I am sending the prize by postal mail. If you have claimed a prize and haven’t received an email response by December 4, please email me again.
Current winners should not be affected as the email problem should be fixed at this point. However, if you claim a prize and you have not received a response within one week please send another email. Even when email is working properly servers have temporary glitches that can’t always be discerned by the end user.
I ALWAYS want you to receive the prizes you win here, so if you claim them and do not receive them it is not because I am purposely holding them back. I simply haven’t received your email or my response to you has gone astray.
With that said, I will go ahead and post the winners for last week.

Emails may or may not be lost in cyberspace. Some of them may be simply lost in the avalanche of email. One of the things our previous “not so helpful” email service did was dump about 2 weeks of old email which had been dealt with into the inbox…I suppose this was to make up for the weekend of bouncing emails? I’m not sure, but it sure created a mess.
Yes, Estella, technology can definitely be a hurdle some days…but on the other hand, I’m sure glad we have it.
Meingee, you’re right. If your email is still on the list I have either not received it yet or have not dug it out of the heap dumped in. Two weeks worth of email around here is about 18,000 emails. You can imagine the task ahead of me as I sort through it. Thankfully a lot of it is spam and there are multiple copies of the same thing (sometimes 75 or more copies) which can just be deleted.
I’m digging out but I’m not all the way out yet.
My goodness what a hassle. I hope you have it all fixed for good this time.
I did send you an email for an unclaimed prize but since my email is still on the list my guess is that you did not get it.
I also replied, and will wait to hear from you.
I replied, and I will wait to hear from you.
Technology…such a big PITA! Thanks for this information. I wondered what happened. My prize claim must be one of those lost in cyberspace since I haven’t heard from you.
I did reply, but will wait to see if you got my first email before sending another.
I can back up that you are good about getting stuff to us. I had problem with email the week I won an ebook, and you sent it to me that weekend, no hassle! We all have tech problems somewhere along the way, so everyone should understand!
Sometimes technology is the pits!
