Yes, There Will Be Another Pick Your Own Prize/Kindle/Nook/iPod Giveaway!
Though the current Pick Your Own Prize Giveaway is still going on the will be another similar giveaway immediately following this one. I know that’s going to be good news for those who are just now learning about the current giveaway and those who didn’t manage to win an entry this time.
Once the current giveaway ends (on February 14) I will do some quick work and seed my database with prizes. There will remain two main two ways to get entered into the contest.
1.) Be a subscriber to the readers newsletter.
2.) Post comments on the blog.
Posting comments on the blog will also enter you for free paperback books on Saturday…and some small and medium sized prizes…like bookmarks, calendars, magnets, book thongs, book bags, choice from among my used paperbacks, gift baskets, gift certificates, etc.
There will also be several spots within my database which will “turn on” special sales…which will create some dynamite — VERY limited time sales on the BVS site. You will definitely want to be paying attention so you don’t miss those sales when they happen. They are going to be BIG sales.
The smaller prize and sales that you turn on based on how many comments you make will make the time between now and April 30 when I will announce a second Pick Your Own Prize winner a little more fun/interesting.
The good news for those who have been reading the blog and participating for a long time is that all of your past comments will be in the pot, waiting to be pulled out in order to win entry into the second drawing (if they’ve not been pulled out for some other prize.) Those who are joining us later, there is still lots and lots of time to get lots of entries into the pot. All you need to do is post comments.
(Or be drawn from the pool of readers newsletter subscribers.)
I am hoping to add some guest bloggers – plus more appearances from Black Velvet Seduction’s own authors to keep things interesting. Authors who are reading this and are interested in being interviewed/having a blog date here on the BVS blog can email me at: LaurieSanders@blackvelvetseductions.com Please use a subject line that tells me what you are writing about like GUEST BLOGGER or INTERVIEW REQUEST.
If you are not signed up for the readers newsletter, do that. It’ll enter you into the daily drawing for the Pick Your Own Prize drawings and the free books every day drawings.
If you are lurking on the blog…we love it that you are here…but post, comment, make your voice heard, that will get you in the pot for one of the coveted spots in the pot for the next Pick Your Own Prize drawing…as well as for the current one.
Time is winding down for the current drawing…though I still have some names to draw…and some to announce.
This sounds great! I’m going to try not to lurk so much around here.
I have been telling everyone I know to hurry and enter here, now they get more chances to win, and so do I. (Although I think I am going toend up buying a reader, as fate has blocked me at every contest I’ve tried and I have tried about sixty different ones so far)
I have enjoyed posting here. There have been many posts/questions which have made me really think before replying.
I look forward in some more great posts.
I enjoy posting here!
Am looking forward to the next giveaway.
Thanks for the giveaways.
Thank you for your awesome giveaways!!
Again, this is so great. Love, love, love that there are chances to win so many different items.
Yeah. the chances continue. I though I was signed up for the newsletter but haven’t received one lately. How do I find out?
What a great contest! My friend told me about this site. I signed up for a newsletter. Will be sure to notify my friends about this contest it’s fabulous!
Make me a winner!!!
I have really enjoyed this contest and I would love another one maybe I’ll get lucky and win one or the other. It sounds like you have some great prizes lined up.
I’m looking forward the the next contest, hope I win something.
This has to be the best blog around! Seriously I mean
not just winning great prizes but having the chance to meet new people who share common interests in books etc… I’m having a good time posting, and guest bloogers sound way cool
Laurie, I love the prizes about used books from your collection that’s really good. I’m really looking forward to the next contest even though this one is not done yet!
Have a great Wednesday everyone
That’s great news to me since I’m newer to the blog. I’ve been a website subscriber for a long time and it’s getting better and better.
Thank you all!
It’s great to hear that you are enjoying your time here, that you are enjoying the conversations, the questions, the comments, meeting and conversing with others who share your interest in great romance books.
The prizes are of course fun, and they do keep things interesting…but it’s nice when you enjoy what you’re doing too and aren’t just doing it for the chance to win a prize.
I am looking forward to 2010 being a fun year with lots of prizes here on the blog.
Hey Beth,
You probably are signed up for the reader’s newsletter. The last one went out on the 22nd of December and had a link to download a sample of Holly’s Big Bad Santa.
I haven’t sent a new newsletter since then because I haven’t had a lot of news to share. I will soon be releasing “Only the Lonely” and will be sending out a newsletter with a link to a sample of it. I will also announce the new contest at that time.
I tend to err on the side of not sending enough newsletters rather than sending so many that people get sick of seeing them. I know there are newsletters that I have signed up for thinking I want the news. But then there are two or three “newsletters” a week…which are really nothing more than buy this…buy this…buy this. That is a little much…so I don’t want to do that.
I appreciate that people want to hear our news…but I don’t want to abuse the trust they have placed in us by sending out too many messages.
If you are not sure whether you got a newsletter in December, you can sign up again. The system that we have won’t let you be signed up for the same newsletter with the same email more than once.
Great giveaways! Always fun conversations as well. Thanks.
One of the things I love so much on this blog is that I get to hear from a group of people from a wide spectrum of life. Those of us who are regulars on the site represent a wide variaty of ages and locations, races and cultures, and even reading preferences. This makes it all the more interesting when you post questions about what people like and dislike and how they feel about particular story types or story lines.
Never on any other site have I ever seen authors so interactive with their readers. Interacting with an author just makes me want to read more of their books. It brings the author to life and makes their story more vibrant with the knowing of the personality of the person behind the prose.
The contests are the icing on the cake. Getting chances to win for having fun and enjoying myself… who could ask for anything more? I’ve said it before and, since I’m on a musical roll in this last paragraph, I’ll say it again… BVS ROCKS!
Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m still trying to figure out the dates of new postings on here, but have fun getting caught up when I miss one. I get so involved with reading the comments that I sometimes forget to post my own. LOL.
Thanks for having such great giveaways!
This is so exciting… I am just so amazed at the wonderful prizes. You have a great site and blog.
What great giveaways and prizes. A nice way to encourage more people to post and participate on here as well as thanking the ones who already do.
Gabrielle
I just came by to see what prizes folks are suggesting.
Happy Wednesday to everyone here on the blog
Hope everyone is doing well, despite the Snow that has fallen in a lot of places here in Michigan as well. Stay Safe and warm!
I would love to win a contest such as this. I’ll be sure to post it to my blog/web site. I’m a subscriber.
It is definitely time to wish everyone here a Happy Valentine’s Day! Just don’t eat too much chocolate.
