Please welcome Margie Church back to the blog. She’s here today to talk about her new novel Krewe Daddy and coming attraction Razor.
Thanks for welcoming me back, Black Velvet fans.
Today I have two books I want to share. The first is my new m/m erotic suspense Krewe Daddy – the love story between Drew and Luis!
What’s their story?
Luis and Drew had a nasty breakup six years ago. They were both at fault. Egos, immaturity, and misunderstandings forced them apart and silence filled the void for six long years. Drew ran off to Minnesota, and Luis continued his career.
Krewe Daddy’s story begins six years later.
Their first meeting in a gay bar is gruff and awkward. Neither knew the other was going to be there, let alone living in the same city. Luis acts like a total ass. Drew is rocked to the core with a flood of emotions he didn’t expect. And the City of New Orleans suddenly feels confining.
And so begins their journey to figuring out how to do rectify their relationship, put the past where it belongs, and learn how to create new history. I think the most dramatic changes come from Drew, who’s learned not to be a doormat on the street or in a relationship. He mans up to his previous mistakes with no conditions or excuses. Luis tests Drew’s commitment and challenges him many times to believe he’s telling the truth.
By the time Drew finally “gets it,” his life takes a drastic turn. Luis enlists help from everyone he thinks of and turns his life upside down for the man he loves.
Krewe Daddy is a story of redemption. Of love lost and found. It’ll make you chuckle, cringe, cheer, and cry.

Luis is the Daddy, a sought-after lover, with an ego to match the mammoth-sized Mardi Gras floats he designs. His lifestyle and reputation are wearing him out, but Luis can’t find a satisfying way to break the cycle and be happy, too.
Drew’s insecurities pushed him to have a foolish affair six years ago. It destroyed his relationship with Luis, and he’s never been able to commit to anyone since. Now, he’s taken control of his life and changed his submissive personality by becoming a model for Kevin Marks, and a wildlife enforcement agent in New Orleans.
These men haven’t forgotten each other, or settled their differences. When they accidentally meet in a French Quarter gay bar, the years of regret, anger, and pent-up emotions erupt. Their passion is as hot as ever, their mistrust just as potent. When Drew’s future is in Luis’ hands, will he choose his lifestyle or love?

The second book I want to share is Razor, a story I’m co-authoring with K.B. Cutter. The first portion came out in a recent anthology, entitled Bound for Love, Ties that Bind. (Novice BDSM reader should be aware tis anthology is very kinky.)
We are expanding the short story in the anthology submission into a full novel. What’s it about?
Razor challenges the conventional relationship of a married couple, and tests the true meaning of love. The story has a host of kinks for all of you BDSM fans, but nothing extreme. Share the fascinating psychological and emotional journey as Bryce explores whether he can become a switch for the woman he loves. Also find out how his wife, Amy, copes with bringing her best friend, Raine, into their marriage bed. Can Bryce keep an emotional distance from Raine and still do what his wife asks? And what about Raine, dearest friend to Amy and now mentor to Bryce? How does she handle this intimate change in their relationship?
Each character sets out with expectations, but as the story unravels, readers will discover shifts in motivations and revelations that’ll make you hunger for more of the cutting tale, Razor.

Amy and Bryce don’t live the Dominant/submissive lifestyle, but Bryce acts every bit the Dom in the bedroom. And Amy’s had enough of it. She takes a drastic step to balance their intimate relationship by enlisting her best friend’s help.
His wife’s unconventional request shocks Bryce at first, but eventually he’s convinced to give the idea a try. On this journey of self-awareness, his experiences are anything but predictable or vanilla.
Buy Bound for Love, which includes RAZOR on Amazon.
CONTEST: These are two very different books! Tell me which story intrigues you most and why. The most interesting response wins a copy of Krewe Daddy or Ties that Bind – reader choice.
